Public services can be straightforward. We show you how.
From figuring out which counter to visit to getting your paperwork organised — Civic Loom walks alongside residents who need clear, plain-language support for everyday civic processes.
Three ways we support residents
Each programme is designed to put you in a better position to act on your own — with clearer paperwork, a mapped-out next step, and someone who speaks in plain language.
Public Service Navigation Session
A 60-minute one-to-one sit-down — in person or by video — where a support officer maps out which counters, portals, or programmes apply to your situation, the documents typically involved, and the sensible order to approach things.
- Printed pathway sheet to take away
- One follow-up email included
- Suitable for new residents & older adults
Form & Application Preparation Support
Practical help getting paperwork ready before you submit it yourself: reading through each field together, explaining requirements in plain language, checking that supporting copies are complete, and organising everything into a labelled folder.
- Covers up to 3 applications per package
- Two 45-minute sessions + message support
- You remain the applicant throughout
Community Orientation Programme
A six-week small-group programme (max 10 people) for newcomers, returning residents and community volunteers. Covers local council contacts, transport passes, school enrolment steps, and community groups in the area.
- Weekly 2-hour sessions + printed handbook
- Guided visit to a nearby service centre
- Group chat open for 3 months after
Clear guidance, no jargon
Plain-language explanations
We translate official forms and notices into everyday English — and where helpful, Bahasa Malaysia — so nothing gets misread before you submit.
You keep control
We prepare and orient — you act. We never submit on your behalf or contact agencies for you, keeping your authority over your own applications intact.
Realistic timelines
We set honest expectations about how long public processes typically take in Malaysia — so you plan around reality, not best-case scenarios.
Small groups, personal attention
The Community Orientation Programme caps at ten participants so each person can raise their specific questions in the room, not just follow a generic script.
Organised from day one
You leave each session with a labelled folder or printed pathway sheet — a physical record of what to do next and what to bring along.
Scope you can rely on
Every session is scoped clearly in writing beforehand — what's covered, what isn't, and what you receive at the end. No hidden extras, no moving targets.
Not sure where to start? That's exactly what we're here for.
Send us a message below or give us a call — a brief conversation is often enough to figure out which programme fits your situation.
Things people ask before booking
What exactly does "information and orientation only" mean?
Can I attend if I'm not a Malaysian citizen?
Do sessions happen in your office or online?
How quickly can I get an appointment?
What if my situation turns out to be more complicated than expected?
Is the information I share kept private?
